History

Lagar do Avô is a space adjacent to the house itself. The space was abandoned and quite degraded when, in 2008, the restoration work began. The intervention fully respected the layout and functionality of the space.

We believe that the space was built in the first half of the 19th century, having worked until 1957, the year in which the Adega Cooperativa de Freixo de Numão was founded. Although private, it operated communally, in keeping with the local spirit.
